French Brownies - oder eher eine Chocolate-Tarte?

It's Tuesday! If I were Wallace, genious inventor created by Nick Park, I would yell for porridge. But as a serious home baker Tuesday is now the day for Tuesdays with Dorie. And so it was a great pleasure to bake something from the book "Baking from my home to yours" by Dorie Greenspan. For this weeks challenge Di over at Di's Kitchen Notebook chose "French Brownies".
It was a straight forward recipe that for me - as a european girl - ressembled more an american brownie recipe than a french recipe. But as Dorie mentioned she only invented the recipe in Paris and gave her reason to call it "french".
I baked the brownies in a spring form, just to give it the look of something more sophisticated ;-)
The taste was good but nothing special to me. The great challenge with this recipe is to choose the right chocolate. Cheap (and in most cases bad) chocolate results in a poor taste. Use good quality chocolate and you will experience a nice brownie taste.
By the way: For a long time I was looking for a rich chocolate but cake-like brownie recipe. Any suggestions? This recipe here was quite this kind of gooey recipe with crackly crust - I know and tried already many of them but haven't found a recipe with a rich chocolate taste and a cake-like crumb.
