Sticky Buns

I proudly present my debut as a daring baker! It was a real pleasure to participate in this month's challenge. Peter Reinhart's "The Bread Baker's Apprentice" is one of my favorite baking books. Marce chose cinnamon buns and sticky buns for the challenge, I opted for sticky buns!
I've never tried the sticky buns so far as I thought they might be too sticky. And boy, they really are! But their taste is worth all the sticky fingers. I really love the caramel glaze. The only problem I had was the corn sirup. It's almost impossible to get corn sirup in Germany. I had to substitute it with "normal" german sirup.
Half of the caramel glase would have been enough, but I'm glad I kept some for the next batch of sticky buns. This recipe is definitely a keeper! The dough is easy to prepare. You can even keep the dough up to 2 days in the fridge. Perfect for a lazy sunday breakfast.
You can find the english recipe on Marce's page or the same recipe in german on page 1 of this post.

Lisa

vielen Dank f?r den Tipp. Werde ich mal ausprobieren.

@Julie: With a sticker like that on your car you'd risk that other cars get a bit too close ;-)
@baking soda: My corn sirup substitute was sugar beet molasses. I haven't tasted corn sirup yet but I think that corn sirup has to be almost tasteless as I have found it as an ingredient in so many dessert recipes with other "fragile" flavours.
