I was last week's host for Weekend Herb Blogging, brain child of Kalyn (Kalyn's Kitchen). It was great fun and a pleasure. By the end of sunday I had 24 entries from foodies all over the world. Here we go for the recap!

• Kaykat, creator of "Cooking from A to Z", from Seattle surprises us with a Podalanga curry and Dahi Shorba. It's recipe she found in a postcard cookbook.

• Sharona over at Bird Food come up with a Caramelized Onion, Mushroom and Goat Cheese Pizza

• Gattina of Kitchen Unplugged from Barcelona in Spain presents a beautifully coloured Mircowaved Avocado & Fish Cake.
• Tami of running with tweezers in Atlanta/Giorgia prepared Edamole for us. I have to admit that I had to look up the ingredient "Edamame" which is simply a soy bean.
• Scott over at Real Epicurean has an interesseting polish recipe for pickled cucumbers for us: Og?rki Kiszone
• From Wandering Chopsticks in Southern California we get a very healthy drink: Nuoc Rau Ma (Vietnamese Pennywort Juice). And we learn that "Nuoc Rau Ma" was already popular in Vietnam long before we discovered the benefits of wheatgrass juice.

  Location - London, UK serves something suitable for the winter season: Roasted root vegetable soup.
• Pam of Sidewalk Shoesin Soddy Daisy, TN USA.

• Ulrike over at K?chenlateinfrom Kronshagen in Northern Germany prepared a savory Mustard chicken with celeriac & carrot mash

• Zorra from 1x umr?hren aka kochtopf in Andalucia/Spain, offers us Savoy Cabbage with Roasted Chicken Breast.
• Morsels & Musings from Sydney (Australia) made a nice soup for us: Chayote soup from Myanmar which reminded me of my time in La R?union where you could buy Chayote on every market.
• We stay in Australia: Kate of Veggie Friendly in Canberra was inspired by italian risotto and made a
  Pumpkin, sage and capers risotto.
• Halo from Cook Almost Anything at Least Once is in love with dill and made a delicious Gravlax.

• A very tasty vegetarian dish comes from Gill over at Confessions of a Food Nazi: Kangkung Pelecing (Water spinach in tomato sambal).
• Arfi, creator of HomeMadeS, from New Zealand made delicious Zucchini Cakes with Dill and
  Feta. With this beautiful dish he really makes us long for summer here in the northern hemisphere ...
• : Y from Lemonpi surprises us with Parsley Potato Cakes.
• Syrie over at Taste Buddies from Vancouver (Canada) likes asian food and prepared Satay Nuea, a perfect beer snack for us.
• Lia from Swirling Notes brings us another taste of summer: Roasted Tomato Tapenade.
• Chris over at Mele Cotte made sandwiches. What looks like a simple prociutto-cheese-sandwich is a surprising panino con formaggio alla griglia with sundried tomatoes.
• Laurie over at Mediterranean Cooking in Alaska serves Pork and Chickpea Stew, a delicious Greek Orthodox dish where she replaced the original garbanzo beans with chickpeas.
• A scientist in the kitchen has a real star for us this week: star anise! Chicken neck braised in star anise is a chinese recipe.

• Kalyn, Mrs. Weekend Herb Blogging from Kalyn's Kitchen herself, prepared the Foil-baked Salmon with Basil Pesto and Tomatoes even twice for us - just to get a good photo. I think it was worth it.
